This Inn was an overnight stop for us, the feeling of the place is that they are trying hard to attract customers, they have an ambitious menu, but the execution is a bit amateurish in places. The room was clean enough and a good size, but the hot water radiators weren't working and we had an electric room heater. The food had all the right ingredients but seemed like someone was following a recipe rather than having a chef with great taste. Friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful country home with rolling green fields around it. Easy to find... as we approached Newbury after leaving Hungerford, there was a sign with an arrow pointing to Elcot Park. Otherwise it could have been difficult. A large section has been added to this house in the form of conference rooms, hotel rooms, spa areas but happily it has been done so not overwhelming from the outside. This was a fine choice for an overnight between Bath and our Heathrow departure the next day. Much nicer than staying in Newbury or Reading. Buffet breakfast in large bright dining room.
