"Not close to airport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 8, 2013
We stayed here one night because we were led to believe the hotel is close to the Bristol airport. It's not. So if you want a hotel close to the airport, this is not it. On the flip side its a very nice hotel. Great pub area & pub food. Nice staff - very helpful. I'd stay here if you plan to be in the area for a while.

Visted my granddaughter in Graduate School. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. My every request was promply granted. The resturant food was delicious. The breakfast hostess not only remembered my room when iI arrived at 8:30 each am but remembered I took cream with my coffee! I have only happy memories of my stay there. By the way, my travelling companion veered off to Oxford with her grandson and stayed in the Mercure hotel there. She too had nothing but compliments for her hotel.

Good hotel. Rooms are good size. Quality of restaurant is good but pricy. Closer to UWE campus, good distance from city center

The hotel was not quite as easy to find from the train station as advertized, but it was within reasonable walking distance of numerous restaurants and attractions. I had assumed wifi would be available free in rooms, but that was a separate fee. Free wifi was only available in the lobby.
"Redwood Lodge"Reviewed by Gary W of "Leeds" on Oct 7, 2010
I stay in this hotel regularly through work commitments and have never been disappointed. The leisure facilities are excellent, the restaurant is good and the rooms are spacious and clean although with the occasional ineffective shower. My only slight gripe is the extremely bland lounge area, as a lone traveller it would be nice to have a distraction within the hotel lounge, Sky etc., rather than having to venture to the leisure club which doesn't take food orders after 8:45 and closes at 10 but all in all I'm rarely, if ever, disappointed when I stay at the Redwood.
