the hotel location is very good. 2 major groseries stores within minutes., The room was clean and well supplied with a convenient kitchenette area. The carpet was a bit tired but the mattress was ok. There are long corridors and many 3 steps up and down to manoeuver before reaching your wing. The corridor is a labyrinth with many doors. You have to turn and turn and open doors and go up and down, etc. Ok but with a heavy suitcases, a bit of a nuisance. Three elevators serving 3 wings. A small courtyard but nowhere to sit. No air conditionning but a fan was supplied. Our room was quiet, even with the windows opened. Quiet street. Good stay in general. But 3 star, not more. We would go back.”
The Cumberland Hotel is very large and modern hotel in an amazing location - right next door to Marble Arch tube. Its luxurious and comfortable and good if you don't want a cosy experience as its huge! The staff are helpful at the front desk but you won't see them again as the main activity is down in the lobby and you aren't confronted by any as you're going about the hotel. We stayed there minus breakfast so the experience could be different if you're dining there. Its a very busy hotel also with a lot of people coming in for lunch/drinks too.”
we stayed at the rembrandt knightsbridge for my parterners birthday, overall we were happy, liked the bar! my only problem was the reception staff, i found them unhelpful and they were chatting umongst themselves about another guest besides this the hotel is in a great location if you want to see the amazing city of london.”
I've stayed at the Strand Palace many times on business. The rooms are very small & there is no air conditioning (although a fan is provided) but this is made up by the service. The staff are always pleasant & helpful - you only have to ask ... And the room service meals are very good even for a non meat eater. Food is cooked well (appropriately) & very nicely presented.”
This hotel was fabulous, and good value as well. The location was an easy walking distance to Westminster Abbey and the London Eye, and just around the corner from Waterloo rail services and many buses. The front desk and concierge staff were friendly and helpful. We had a suite room which was very clean and included a small kitchenette area with a microwave and refrigerator. The bedroom was separated from the living area by a short corridor, and although there was no door to the bedroom, a closet door swung right over the entrance, affording some privacy. The couch in the living room area folded out into a queen sized bed which was ample for two children to share. (You woud not be able to fit in a separate fold-out cot as well.) The hotel also provided a laundry room for the use of guests, which was appreciated as not many hotels that we stayed at provided such a facility.”
Everyone working in marketing knows that the client's satisfaction is the key to succeed. You have definitely managed to do so- the reception service, the guest service, restaurants and more. Even though it is my first stay at your hotel- it will NOT be the last. The location of the hotel is ideal-near the subway but far from the noise and crowded streets. The room I got was lovely- clean, equiped with all the necessary items for guests. Above all I must mention the service- efficiet, polite and you never get the impression you are nagging the staff. To sum up, this has been a pleasant experience and I will definitely come back.Thank you for everything,Dorit”
This hotel is very central - just a few minutes walk to Marble Arch and Paddington station - the Edgware Road Underground station is just across the street. Staff are very attentive and hotel has all the modern conveniences. We were upgraded to the Tower but to be honest the room wasnt anything that special -could have been a little more spacious. Very clean other than a dirty cushion on our bed. Be careful of the minibar - sensors under all the bottles which if moved automatically charge to your account - found out after trying to fit in my own bottle of water - reception sorted it out for me though. Overall i think that i would stay here again.”
If you need a business hotell or a good hotell, then this is it. Close to several underground stations and near other usefull facilities. Close to Hyde Park if you like a walk or a nice run. In-house gym is available, though of mediocre standard. WiFi-facilities excellent.”
This is a historic hotel, right next to Hyde park and a few train stations away from most downtown attractions. You can also walk to Paddington Station - convenient for the flight home so you don't have to buy a rail pass that day. The hotel is pretty, and the rooms updated. It does have wireless, but there may not be enough range to reach your room. I went to the lobby with my laptop, then had no problem. The room is small - I wouldn't have wanted to share it. Strange that the bathroom has no shower curtain; water went everywhere when showering. My room had a few unfortunate problems: subground level with people talking and smoking outside it in the morning. Also, there was a wet spot on the floor that did not go away. I would have asked for another room, but was busy and didn't mind too much. The staff were quick to address problems I did bring up though, and tried to be helpful. They didn't give good restaurant recommendations, saying to go down Queesnway (OK, not worth what I paid). Find your own. Overall, a good experience.”
Although the room was small and very narrow (it felt more like a corridor than a room...), the room was clean and comfortable with a decent shower. Reception was helpful providing maps and giving instructions for locations around the city. The hotel is conveniently located in central london. No doubt I will return!”
