"Nice but clumsy"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 25, 2013
This would be a great place if it were not for a couple of things. First, the bathroom arrangement is odd. The shower is big as a minute and every surface is hard and VERY slippery. Second, the technology used for television connections is nonfunctional. This is the first time in many trips where I could not watch movies I brought with me because of the strangeness. I have no clue what the problem was but their hotel staff was of no use. Lastly, like so many hotels, their for was good but much too expensive. There were local restaurants just steps away with comparable food for 40% less. I would like to recommend the hotel but they are too impressed with themselves. I won't be back.
"Disappointed for a hotel in such a location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 20, 2013
The hotel was beautiful and well set in Kensignton just off the high street. However, it is unfortunate that we were welcomed by a few things, and most that we're not rectified. When we first arrived in the room, there was a disgusting sport sock that was left on top of the upper part of the wardrobe, which I found as I was placing my clothes there. Then I tried to lock away out passports and money, but the safe had no electricity. Also the aircon/heating did not work and was showing a spanner icon, and so obviously needed maintenance. It was pretty cold in the mornings when we woke up. Also, the TV connection was not good...the voices kept cutting, which made watching TV annoying. We told the caption about all the problems except for the sock, and none of them were fixed. As the daughter of a hotelier, I was disappointed that maintenance was not called straight away to fix the heating issue at least.

"Great new hotel!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 30, 2013
This hotel was fantastic. New and luxurious, and not as hard to get to from downtown as I thought (DLR was right around the corner, fast and convenient). It was an amazing vacation!
"Very best location - exact center of London"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
I stayed in this hotel years ago, when it was a disaster, because the location is so perfect. I tried it again this year under the new ownership, and it was a pleasure. Energetic, helpful staff, sufficient space in the room, and Marylebone High Street , which has every convenience, is 1 block away. Selfridges, Marks and Spencer and New Bond Street are about 4 blocks away.

"Business like apartment style hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 17, 2013
Dolphin House is a self contained apartment-hotel which is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The staff were wonderful and efficient; nothing can be too much a bother to them! The apartment was huge by London standards and the fact that they upgraded us to a 1-bedroom apartment was just icing on the delicious cake.
