  The Churchill Hotel is nice, but the new addition, where our room was, is too modern. We thought it would be more old-fashioned, because it's an old manor house. But the old part is limited to 8 luxury rooms that are probably lovely, but are above our price range.

  Very nice hotel. Nice mix of old and new. Wish they had free Internet, though. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

  The B&B was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. They even served until 9:30 AM, a big plus for us late sleepers. The hotel was an easy, pleasant walk to the walls of York. Would definitely stay there again!

  Only a short walk downtown, this place was great. We stayed one night and it was the most comfortable bed we slept in during our 2 week trip. Food in the hotel was okay.

  Nice big room with bay window and comfy bed and feather blanket- nice breakfast in the morning in dining below. weekday so pub below was quiet. Key to back door to come and go as you please at night. comfortable walk to York Minster Cathedral and to walk city wall. I would like to spend several days there.
