Only a short walk downtown, this place was great. We stayed one night and it was the most comfortable bed we slept in during our 2 week trip. Food in the hotel was okay.

Nice big room with bay window and comfy bed and feather blanket- nice breakfast in the morning in dining below. weekday so pub below was quiet. Key to back door to come and go as you please at night. comfortable walk to York Minster Cathedral and to walk city wall. I would like to spend several days there.

This B&B was tucked away on a main street. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! Convenient walking to all sites.

This is a very good hotel with delightful garden and a variety of rooms and places to eat. I'd rate it 4 stars. But though a remarkable range of services offered, no computer with internet service available.

the manager of the guest house was very friendly and helpful. They serve a pretty good breakfast too!
