A lovely comfortable quiet room, within walking distance of Airport.
"Nice place and as good restaurant .."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 28, 2012
Place is nicely laid out from lobby to rooms. The rooms were clean/quiet and well appointed. There is a cozy bar and very good restaurant . But stay away from the "rice pudding" dessert. We booked becuz of an early flight from Manchester airport. Hotel transport is great. We got a shuttle at 530 am. They even reimbursed our taxi return from the airport after our rental car return because the shuttle was not running.

My stay was for one night before flying out of Manchester airport the next morning. I particularly liked the convenient free shuttle to and from the airport and Manchester station. The hotel offered a wake up call, which i requested, however i was somewhat upset to find that there was no alarm clock/radio in the room which i could set as backup (and since my USA phone doesn't work in England i was unable to program that). Worrying about whether the front desk would remember my wake up call was not conducive to a restfull nights sleep! I also think that internet connection should be free to all in the hotel lobby and single women, travelling alone should get free internet in the room as a security service.

Firstly, I have to stress that this hotel is not that hard to get to without a car but if you are driving it sure makes it easier. We had a very helpful bus driver that told us where to get off after I had looked online to see what buses go by the hotel. The staff weren't real sure but one guy did have a few bus numbers which helped. As for the hotel itself, rooms very spacious and comfortable with all the usual amenities. Breakfast had a lot of choice and they also serve dinner there if you want it. There is a pub and fast food restaurant nearby which is very handy and there are quite a few buses (as I mentioned) which take you right into Manchester next to Piccadilly. We stayed here on the recommendation of someone else because of location and price and we were not disappointed and I would definitely recommend this hotel for quality of service and comfort.

First thing i would like to say is that the staff were very helpful and very polite. The room was brilliant, and was what i ordered. Would come back if I'm come back to Manchester.

A clean and efficient hotel, not flashy, but functional and a bargain at the price.
