"Good location, enjoyable stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 17, 2012
My stay at the Royal Exeter was nice. The service was generally very good, but I would advise making a reservation in advance if you want to eat at the restaurant (1812). The music coming from the bar was loud on the Friday that I was there, but it had stopped by around midnight. The location was pretty convenient - close to the waterfront, other restaurants, and the international center. The room was small but clean. The wi-fi was slow at times. Breakfast was very good but make sure you give yourself extra time since all the hot food is made-to-order.

"Durley Dean Hotel in Bournemouth"Reviewed by Alejandra Ga of "San Francisco" on Jan 8, 2012
My boyfriend and I stayed at The Durley Dean Hotel between the 26th and 29th of December 2011 We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and found our first room to be very nice. after a very small concern was brought to the attention of the reception team (so small it does not need to be mentioned) we were greeted by the hotel manager, within 20 minutes, with professionalism and courtesy and immediately upgraded straight away to a newly refurbished room, also a complimentary bottle of wine was placed in our room. The staff were all very happy and friendly and we got a feeling from the first moment that they would do anything to make our stay more comfortable. Many thanks to all the team and when we return to Bournemouth we will certainly stay at The Durley Dean again.

"Brittania Hotel - Bournemouth"Reviewed by Malcolm B of "Irvine, CA" on Apr 16, 2011
For the price, this was not a bad choice. The furniture was a bit dated and the TV on the small side, but the location was great, the breakfast was quite good too. Overall we were fairly satisfied with the room, especially considering the price we paid.
"You Won't Find Cleaner or More Customer Friendly"Reviewed by Harris W of "UK" on Oct 17, 2010
The Best of Best Western...Excellent Service...Excellent Staff...Extremely Clean and Very Well Presented. First Rate! Only one small issue, was the Bar Menu on offer, although it all sounded very nice the bagettes were very stingy with the fillings, ie: Roast Beef with Horseradish Sauce, sounded super on the menu with the side accompaning items, but was served with one thin supermarket slice of roast beef and still I never did taste the horseradish. Hopefully they will correct this issue and our four night stay was first class!
"Village Bournmouth Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 8, 2010
Very nice hotel with all amenities but a bit difficult to find. You must turn at the traffic light where the hospital is and drive past the hospital (2 roundabouts). Hotel has a nice pub and decent restaurant.

"really nice family hotel"Reviewed by M Schlecking of "Reading" on Sep 17, 2009
The hotel is really nice and quiet, the owners are very friendly and service orientated. A walk of less than 10 min brings you down to the beach close to the Pier. Less than 5 min to get to the town centre. My room was nice and for the price absolutely fine. English as well as continental breakfast available. My ensuite bathroom was very small but ok as well. Could do with some additional towel rails as there was only one provided, so when coming back from the beach I had to put the towels over the wardrobe doors.
