"Great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 24, 2012
Best location in city, but the hotel could use some refurbishing. Still a great value
"perfectly located hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 20, 2012
Very nice hotel perfectly located with good buffet breakfast. Parking not close by. Lots of stairs to access our rooms with dim lighting and no help with luggage.
"Very close to TGV station"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 1, 2012
Perfect hotel if you want to be close to the train station and car rental offices. Clean, friendly and easily accessible from freeways for trips into Provence as well as central Avignon.

"staying in Avignon"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 28, 2011
We were in Avignon just now in July during the theater festival. It's absolutely amazing! This hotel reminds me of a kibutz in Israel, small, nice, clean...the people are exceptionaly nice and helpful. The only inconvenience is that you are not in town at all and need to take the 10 minute bus ride in, but the bus stop is on the corner. Just be sure to ask when the last bus leaves from town..overall, a wonderful city and nice place, just a little out of the way.
"Best Western Le Lavarin - restful, helpful staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 27, 2011
This is a nicely maintained, friendly hotel with helpful staff and comfortable rooms. The lawn and pool were lovely, and the hotel was quiet so we got a great night's sleep. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and spoke fluent English. She gave us good, detailed driving directions to the old city of Avignon and pointers on where to park. We picked this hotel because of it's proximity to the train station - the station is an easy, 10 minute drive away. We were departing at 7:15 the next morning for Paris and had to return a rental car before departure. All went off without a hitch. While the location was great for that purpose, I'll also say that there isn't anything around the hotel, like shops or restaurants, or . . .anything. Unless you're willing to drive around there isn't anywhere to eat other than the hotel. The hotel food was okay, but there wasn't much variety. There's no vending or little shop so if you decide to stay here stock up first if you like a late snack. The hotel provided free bottled water for the room. One other bit of info - we found it kind of confusing finding the place for the first time. There's a big sign on the side of a building on a roundabout that almost makes it look as if that might be the hotel - it isn't. Keep driving for a minute or so in the direction of the arrow and the hotel is on the left in a lovely garden-like setting.

"Nice hotel for overnight or even longer stay"Reviewed by Saad Z of "New York, NY" on Jul 2, 2010
We stayed there for just one night. It was really neat and actually quite nicely decorated. loved the red color in the room. The bathroom was however REALLY small and it seemed like it was ready made one attatched to the room( if there is such a thing) but it was clean and we just stayed there for one night so it wasnt that much of an issue. there's a bus stop just opposite the hotel. Compared to paris people were much friendly. The bus driver gave us a free ride because we ran out of time ( the card lasts for one hour) because we were lost ( the hotel's a bit far off )
