My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights at the end of August so that I could move her into her student accomodation in Chambery for her year abroad studying at the university. The hotel was as oasis of calm in our fraught days of dealing with so many things which had to be done! Close by the bus for Lyons airport, opposite the railway station but totally peaceful and quiet. Very comfortable room, excellent choice for breakfast , and friendly helpful staff - would be very happy to stay there again.”

Conveniently located to the centre of Chambery, in the restaurant district and close proximity to shops. Parking at first seemed daunting but in the event worked well once I had retrieved my pass from hotel reception to park in the secure Hotel de Ville underground car park just around the corner. Hotel staff were exceptionally well trained, the room was a bit cramped but in the event worked well, it was very clean and well presented. A good stopover and an excellent location to explore Chambery old town.”

This hotel is very close to the station and railway line so very convenient if you arrive by train and have heavy luggage. However despite being so close, at least in my room it was (surprisingly) very quiet. The hotel is quite simple but he beds are comfortable (even if you have a bad back) and the room I had was a good size. The most impressive thing about this hotel though was the staff. They were incredibly helpful, pleasant and efficient. They always were happy to go that extra mile. At the end of my stay I tried to give them a normal tip and they wouldn't take it saying it was just a pleasure to help!”
