"very friendly"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 7, 2012
The staff were very friendly and helpful which made our stay in Toulouse an even more pleasant experience. Convenient to the train station and easy walking to most sites. An old building with lots of stairs but clean.

The room was hot and there seemed to be no ventilation. We opened the window for air.

I was skeptical at lst because when I went in the original room, it looked like the staff were taking a nap in the bed, but the desk clerk gave me another room and it was excellent. Had a wonderful mattress on the king-size bed, and a bath tub. Directly across the street from the train station so it was very convenient when I came in after 9 pm.

Excellent location within walking distance of train station and center (Capitole, Place Wilson, St. Sernin). I never took the subway and walked everywhere. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful (I speak fluent French). Very quiet room with nice balcony and view. Studio was perfect for one person. Free internet (not WIFI) in room. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the room, bath and kitchen. Truly spotless as others have noted. Missed breakfast. There is also an exercise room.
"Modern, clean, incredible location"Reviewed by Todd C of "Los Angeles, CA" on Oct 31, 2011
Highly modernized hotel at a Toulouse City Center. It's also 17 steps (I counted) from the front door to the subway. Toulouse only has 2 metro lines, which cross at one point, the Jean-Jaures station, which happens to be 17 steps away. This hotel is absolutely great. The atmosphere is almost euro-club with rectangular angles, reflective obsidian and purple backlighting. However, despite it being on the street corner of a very loud and busy street, the soundproofing is nice. You'll hear the occasional siren or really loud noises, but the city noises are completely shut out and sleep was quite easy for those used to usual urban background noise. The breakfast was amazing, but overpriced at 18 Euros (at the time of this writing = 25 dollars). We had it once, and it was nice to have all the crepes and pastries and brownies and homemade yogurt you would want, but still. If you cross the street into the pedestrian center, there are little cafe's open at 06:30am that can get you a much better deal for < 3 - 4 Euros a person. Staff was very nice, attentive, and extremely multi-lingual. They dealt with lost luggage and deliveries, issues with our Euro bills, etc., and with all smiles. Highly recommend staying here again. Room 208 can fit a couple quite comfortably. Look for Hotels.com deals to help with the otherwise high price...

The shuttle bus (navette) from the airport stops at the Jeanne d'Arc bus stop which is basically across the street from this hotel. You can easily walk with rolling luggage to or from the train station as well. The location is also fine for visiting downtown Toulouse. I stayed for two nights and had a different room each night, and there was a bit of a difference in the upkeep in each room. I "Prestige" rooms on hotels.com, which showed this class of room as sleeping 4. The first room had one double bed and when I asked about this as the desk I was told that the room shown on the website as "Prestige" is really the Junior Suite. The room was nice but too small for two people, the shower was very tiny and the drain was plugged, and the bathroom faucet was loose and dripped. This room faced the side street and was a bit noisy. The weather was warm for October but it was too noisy to have the window open. The second night was a completely difference experience. Two twin beds in a room way at the back of the hotel, on a quite courtyard instead of the street. The bathroom had been redone with a great shower with a temperature-controlled faucet (the first room had scalding hot water when I tried to take a shower, and by the time the water was ok to use, the shower pan was about to overflow). Both rooms had an electric kettle and mugs for tea. No clock or tissues in either room. I was happy to use the hotel's free computer with internet. Did not have the breakfast: it was rather disappointing, with a limited selection of bread and yogurts, some meats but no toaster. The "Prestige" room has no mini-bar and I'm not sure what makes it any better than any other room, even though it's more expensive. The second room

Superior 2 star hotel conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. Friendly host spoke excellent English. Only problem was the location. After paying 40 euros for a taxi we still could not find the hotel. The taxi driver dropped us off and we had no idea where the hotel was. We walked for several blocks before asking a kind business owner if he know where the hotel was and he did not but he Googled the location and we walked an additional 6 or 7 blocks (dragging our luggage) before we found it. The hotel host told us how to take the city bus (only 5 euros) back to the airport the next day and that went very smoothly. Highly recommend this hotel BUT can be a challenge to find.
