"Sejours et Affaires Lille Europe"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 3, 2011
This is based on our daughter's recent experience (who is still in France), which we shared in vicariously via phone. Rough beginning because we didn't realize that even though check-in was stated as being 3 PM, the front desk shuts down at noon on weekends (welcome to France). So our daughter was left stranded in the lobby until some kind person who spoke English helped her locate the emergency number. She was able to get into a room, but it hadn't been cleaned and was right next to the train station. Meanwhile, we had called customer service at hotels.com and later on we heard from our daughter that doing that helped because a nice woman finally came and got her a clean room away from the trains. Phew! Kudos to hotels.com for helping us with this. The lesson here is if you stay anywhere in France and are arriving on a weekend, make sure you notify them ahead of time so they can have things ready for you.
"close to the station"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 29, 2011
Just on the left, across the street as you exit the station. Small room, decent shower. Bathroom was clean. Had to use internet from the restaurant below - their internet requires use of a mobil phone. You have to pay for them to keep you luggage but the lockers were full so they "watched" our luggage (anyone could of just picked it up and left) It it was ok for a cheap hotel near the train station. Nothing I would want to stay in for more than a night passing through though.
"Amazing room and staff"Reviewed by Kareen O- of "Montclair, NJ" on Jun 27, 2011
Everybody was always smiling and very helpful. I would go back anytime. The hotel was close to everything, restaurants, cafés, train station. My room? I did not want to leave it. The day I left, they kept my luggage for 5 hours. A great experience for me.

"Glorious building of fantasticness"Reviewed by A Heath of "Kent" on Sep 23, 2009
Properly wonderful old building, set with a huge square courtyard in the middle where the restuarant is kept, and the rooms all look out into this central courtyard. It looks like an old monastary, but much more modern now it's been looked after inside. The car park was an extra 13 Euros a night, so the price quickly racks up, and the bumpy cobbled streets of Lille mean getting there through the maze of one way streets isn't the easiest, but once there it's one of the nicest buildings I've stayed in. Great place, highly recommend it - a much better alternative to staying overnight in Calais for sure!
"Great location!"Reviewed by I Haig of "London" on Aug 13, 2009
Pleasantly surprised! Good hotel in a great location in Lille - hotel very close to street with great French restaurants and lovely atmosphere, as well as walking distance from the centre of Lille! Will recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to explore Lille, as well as people with their own car wanting to travel to Brugge or Brussels (1-2 hours drive from hotel). Will definitely return to this hotel in future.
