"off the expressway"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 18, 2012
The upside is that the hotel itself was very nice, clean, helpful staff, decent restaurant. The drawback was it's location. The nearest useful metro station is Maison Blanche which is quite a walk. If the weather was bad or we were coming back to the hotel after dark we ended up getting a taxi. So what we saved on the price of the hotel we spent on taxis. Not much in the immediate neighborhood either, mostly residential & car dealerships.
"Great Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 2, 2012
We got a good deal on the room, and I'm very happy we chose to stay here. The room and bathroom were teensy tiny, but it was very quiet and clean, had character, and the staff were really nice and friendly. It's right across the street from the Metro and not too far from the RER B line that goes right to the airport. The Catacombs are right down the street, and there are some great bakeries and cheese shops nearby. Not a lot of cheap things in the neighborhood, but there is a Monoprix grocery store very close. I would definitely stay there again.

if you are or you are able to get familiar with metro service the locale is great.
"good location"Reviewed by Kim N of "California" on Jul 25, 2011
This hotel has good location because it is close to many subways and trains. It is also close to good bakeries and small super markets. It is good if you go out whole day for sightseeing and back to hotel for shower, sleeping and light eat. There is nothing to see or relax. Overall is reasonable price for hotel in central Paris.
"Excellent Service"Reviewed by Holly C of "Connecticut" on Jun 22, 2011
We needed a hotel near the Rue St. Honore, and Charring Cross was the perfect answer. The manager was most helpful and efficient when we needed to extend the stay and all the major hotels in Paris were booked for the Air Show. This service alone makes it worth recommending the Hotel Charring Cross.
