We were pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendliness of the staff. Great location and price! We were surprised by the charge of 2.50 euros for the community shower. There isn't much of a place to sit and visit in the hotel, but it is perfect if you plan to spend your days "seeing Paris". It was so nice to have a secure place to leave our belongings while we walked through Paris. The only downside is that you're on a street with all the strip clubs, etc. which was distasteful for my husband and me.

Very good hotel. Good price, clean, excellent neighborhood. I would do it again.
"close to the event I was attending"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2011
Ratings based on one star hotel rating and brief one night stay. The neighborhood is very nice and feels less touristy than central Paris. Very close to the Jourdain metro station and a grocery store is along the walk to the hotel. The only concern was there was no alarm clock in the hotel room, so the only way I was able to be sure sure I didn't miss my train back to London was to stay up after I returned from my event that night.

"Great Budget Hotel"Reviewed by Katie W of "Brooklyn, NY" on Apr 4, 2011
I choose this hotel as a last resort after all of my top picks were either sold out or a little out of my budget - but there was a discount which also included free breakfast so I was sold! Otherwise breakfast is around 6 Euro and you might be better suited going to grab some croissants at a local passterie shop down the street. Overall I wasn't disappointed in the least. I wanted a clean, cheap, quiet room to use as a base for a romantic week in Paris and it was perfect for my needs. The surrounding neighborhood feels a bit seedy at night, but in the day it's quaint and there are 2 metro trains close by that can take you anywhere you want to go in the city. The hotel is a short hike from Sacre Courer and there is a super market nearby. There is no lift - but I was lucky and my room was on the 2nd floor. After all the delicious food I ate, I was happy to walk it off a little. I would definitely go back there again and can't wait to come back to Paris.
