"Good for families, if you don't mind some walking."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Other than being a tad far from a metro station, the location was perfect - several grocery stores within easy reach, not to mention the Eiffel Tower. The front desk staff was uniformly nice and helpful. Cleanliness was OK, things a bit worn, no maid service other than once a week. I might choose someplace else for a grown-up getaway but it was perfect for our family with young children, especially to have a kitchen.
"Classic Paris Hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
We had an updated deluxe room with balcony on the 6th floor. Front desk staff were pleasant but Concierge desk was "hit or miss" with both knowledge and friendliness. It was our anniversary so the front desk sent up a complimentary bottle of wine and some candies which was a nice touch. The only downsides were the king bed was not a real king but 2 twins pushed together which made it a bit uncomfortable for a couple trying to stay close and they were still in "heating" mode so the hotel was quite warm. We had to sleep with the terrace doors open which cooled the room but brought in the traffic noise. Overall though, I would stay again.
"Live the life of luxury in Paris"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
This hotel is excellent in all respects. The location is terrifc, close to the Arc de Triomphe and the metro. The neighborhood is very expensive for restaurants and shops, but if you are on a budget, you are not staying here!
"Paris Hilton La Defense"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
Had to pay out the nose for WiFi if you wanted it. When most hotels offer it free or at least in certain areas (lobby) this seemed very ridiculous. I'd go to a Starbucks and get it free but not very convenient. It's not an area where you can walk out and expect to have the little sidewalk cafes and shops. Loved the rooms. Hotel personnel were wonderful.
"Fabulous Hotel!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
I LOVED L' Hotel de Sers! First off - it's PERFECTLY located. This was my first time in Paris and I was a bit concerned about what area to stay to be in good proximity to landmarks, shopping, food and tourist destinations, but also in a nice, safe part of town. The hotel is was in a perfect spot for all of that. We could walk everywhere, find all kinds of shops, stores, etc and still felt like we were in a quieter and upscale part of town. The staff there are fantastic, the service is perfect and it was a wonderful place to go home to each day. I will, without a doubt, be staying there on our next trip to Paris!
"Walk in distance to all tourist attractions"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
Fantastic stay!!! You can walk to all major sites by walking towards Hotel de Ville from Rue du Temple. Also can walk to Champs Elysees from Rue de Rivoli. There are supermarkets nearby and bakeries to purchase baguettes, croissants and pain de chocolats. Recommended Breakfast: Indiana Cafe, right across the street from hotel a petit dejeuner for 6.90 Euros you can order: one coffee cappucino, one baguette with butter, jelly, one croissant and one orange juice. This hotel gives you complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, I bought instant soup and yogurt from nearby supermarche and used the coffee maker to heat up water.
"Good tourist bases in Paris"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 28, 2012
Hotel in good location with plenty of places to eat/drink around it. Not in the center of the action but if you don't mind the metro this is a good place to stay. We used it to sleep and shower, and for for those purposes this is a good hotel for the price. No English tv channels and the shower could be better. Overall, good tourist base.

The hotel painted the doors on the same day we arrived and did not mention it. The whole floor had paint fumes for several days. The location was very convenient and the service from the hotel staff was impeccable.
"Central to everything Paris"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 26, 2012
Great location, access to all the necessary sights of Paris! Right next door to the original Chanel Store! Great front desk service!
"Fantastic location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 25, 2012
We stayed at the Sofitel for 6 nights with our 4 children. The hotel is in a fantastic location - just steps away from the best shopping in Paris. Every designer store is around the corner! Also, it is walking distance to every tourist site in Paris - Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elyssee, L'Arc de Triomphe, ect. Hotel staff was friendly and polite, rooms were comfortable and clean, the gym was adequate. We would stay there again!
