"Premiere 'Economy' Classe"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 23, 2013
Quite, frankly, I enjoyed my stay in Premiere Classe when one is in a tight budget. It's like taking a seat in the economy section of any airline. Don't expect either satin sheets or oysters Rockefeller. The hotel is, merely, a 5-minute trek to the main train station of Gare Part Dieu with RhoneExpress trains that go directly to the airport. The room is sparse, clean and a comfy feel of a firm mattress. Petit dejeuner is petit as it suggests with just newly-baked bread, fruit juices, yogurts and hot coffee, tea and milk to brak the fast. Take time to walk the length nearby of Rue Paul Bert and its vicinity where one can find very good restaurants and patisseries that serve cuisines from Morocco, Turkey, Algeria and the like for affordable dishes beef stews, grilled lamb and baklava-kind sweets. Lyon is a walkable city with plenty of historical, religious sites, museums, shopping areas and much more. When in Lyon, go and stay in Premiere Classe Hotel.
"Rooms spacious for family but hotel a little tired"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 4, 2012
The sauna wasn't working at the hotel and the hotel is in need of some basic painting and a face lift. The walls are scratched and peeling and the interior is a little drab. That said, although the rooms are all non-smoking, when we checked in our room was really smelly. The hotel moved us to a larger room right away that was fine. The parking and the food are quite expensive.
"Clean room"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 25, 2012
Stay was comfortable and room clean and nice location. Staff was very helpful for what I needed which wasn't alot. -I walked everywhere and did not eat breakfast chose to go to the local boulangerie. If you rent a car think about storing it in a different location the garage is very tight and terrible turn to get out. Pull your mirrors in.

"Very eccentric but great fun"Reviewed by B NORTON of "Guildford" on Aug 31, 2009
eVERYTHING IN THE HOTEL IS SCHOOL -THEMED - the reception desk is a pommel horse, thie dining room furniture is old school desks and benches etc. The bedrooms are pure white. EVERYTHING is white; the lockers which are wardrobes, the bedlinen, curtains, - and breezeblock bedside tables. However, the reception staff are fantastic, breakfast had the finest orange juice I've ever had, the terrace on the 2nd floor is wonderful and the soft drinks are free. What's not to like??! The position is really convenient - but be warned, the cafe opposite keeps going WELL into the small hours and when it's warm, that means people under your window.... turn up the A/C and ignore them!
