We booked this hotel on the basis of our previous experiences with the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in the UK. We were very disappointed by this hotel and will definitely not stay there agin. We arrived at the hotel around 20.00hrs on 22 December 2009. it was very cold! After being welcomed by the peasant reception staff we took the lift to our room. What a disappointment was in-store for us. The room had not been unheated and the heater did not work efficiently, so our room remained cold for the whole night - wonderful when there was snow on the ground outside! The room was tiny and the hanging area for coats was paltry. The room decor was tired and the lighting poor. The room was not particulary clean and it was obvious that the carpet had not been properly vacuumed. There very many cracked tiles on the bathroom walls and floor and the the grouting around the small bath was black. Thankfully, there was plenty of hot water so at least we were able to warm up in the shower/bath before going to bed. At least the bed was clean and comfortable and we were warm under the duvet. In the morning, after a buffet breakfast, we left to continue the rest of our journey.” 08/01/2010
