"Everything was very convenient."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 20, 2012
Very helpful concierge, close to train station and shopping areas, very good breakfast. Also, it was very clean, had free internet, and it had an elevator. Great!

"Fine place to stay in Aix"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 12, 2012
We really enjoyed our super spacious room with kitchen. Friendly staff welcoming us, even late at night, and always helpful. Probably could have walked to the city center but since we checked out in the morning anyway we decided to drive closer to town.
"Only convenience was the frequent bus service!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 7, 2012
The hotel was quiet but it was surrounded by schools and no restaurants except in the hotel. I didn't realize the train station was so far away so was unable to utilize our rail tickets. The dining room was pleasant enough but the food very predictable. Thank goodness a city bus ran frequently as we had to use it to get to the center of the city for tours and restaurants and shopping. My husband's wallet was stolen getting on the bus and we couldn't call the police with the room phone!
"Unique building, great staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 19, 2012
The Staff at Chateau were amazing, we had an issue with our rental car, and they called Hertz for us, and spoke to them in french to figure out the problem. They made reservations for us for a local winery tour too! The room was OK, considering the age of the property, our biggest complaint was the lack of a shower curtain, the tub was obviously meant for taking baths. Also, the complementary wifi was a welcome change from most of the other hotels we'd stayed in Europe.
"Away from crowds but close to Aix"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 28, 2012
This is the third year in a row we have stayed at the Kyriad. The hotel is close to the Aix train station and is about 20 minutes from the Marsielle Airport. The staff is extremely nice and was very helpful. The hotel also has a nice restaurant attached with a wonderful wait staff and excellent house wine! The room is small by US standards but pretty average by French standards. Some major improvements this year... The rooms now contain a new air conditioning system. This was a major plus especially with how hot this summer has been! The rooms also now have very nice flat screen tvs in the rooms. The parking is gated, and this year, the gate was closed at all times. You needed to buzz the desk (using the speaker at the gate) to enter or exit. A password and username was needed for the in room internet access. The usernames were good for 24 - 48 hours but the staff was great about quickly providing you with the new information. This hotel is located very close to Aix-en-Provence city center, so it was easy to get back in forth to the arts festival. A new Casino (Grocery/ Shopping Center) just opened very close to the hotel and was great for picking up groceries for the week (Water, snacks, change of clothes, etc). We traveled all through the South of France and this hotel was right in the center of where we wanted to be. This is a great hotel if you are looking for a decent place to rest your head.
"Beautiful, but not near opera Aix"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 13, 2012
A lovely hotel and restaurant but we would prefer to stay closer to the opera events and center of town walking. Taxis were called and my phone didn´t work. At least 10 euros each way.
