"Charming Hotel in Superb Location"

Beautiful, old-world charm style hotel in a fantastic location. Do try the local Barcas Cafe across the street for your morning cafe cortado and a decent tortilla, where you will see the working locals alongside you. The cafe staff there are a real treat. Don't go to this hotel with a car. It's too difficult, even with GPS. Parking fees are exorbitant. Do not stay in room 424, located at the end of the hallway, directly next to the exit door, which is in constant use throughout the night and thus very loud and disturbing if you are a very light sleeper. However, the view from the window was stunning and a welcomed touch and the shower pressure and bathroom size was excellent, more spacious than expected for such a small room.

Pretty good breakfast buffet.
Staff more than helpful and engaging.
Vey pet accommodating. I forgot my dog's water bowl. The maid had one brought up for me.
Small market next door. Pizzeria and cafes on the same block. Parking in garage across the street for smaller sedans.
"Nice hotel in a terrible neighborhood"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 22, 2012
In general the hotel was good (breakfast great). However, there wasn't a toilet brush in the bathroom and when I went to complain they told me it is the company policy (I went to a China shop to buy one). At reception when checking out I was confused about the pricing of the breakfast and when I asked if the breakfast had already been paid for, the receptionist's reaction was unfriendly in "I-know-it-all" way. The neighborhood is horrible, during night prefer a taxi over metro.

Loved staying here, it's a traditional building outfitted into a hotel, really nice decor and architecture. Please note that the reception (check-in counter) is at another location about 4 blocks away, it would have been helpful to have that information prior to check in as we walked from the bus station (15 minutes) in a rain storm with heavy backpacks. Nevertheless, we were very appreciative of the staff allowing us to check in earlier than expected. Would stay again!

I liked this hotel. Comfortable room, with air condition controls that actually worked. Something I find rare in Europe at this price level. Excellent breakfast. Free wifi. Most important, close to many of Valencia's tourist locations and hop on/hop off bus stop just a few blocks away.

In our spain trip, we stayed three Novotel in different cities. All are in good quality. This hotel is clean and convenient to anywhere by the subway (the station is very close to the hotel). Like the services, too.
"Close to port"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 4, 2011
The rooms were very small; however, it was conveniently located near the port. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast in the morning was a plus. I would definetely recommended it specially if you are going on a cruise from Valencia.

Perfect for the Museo de las Ciencias. Clean room, shame that they build things with cheap materials, so they all start falling apart... Breakfast was ok.
I have give 4* because the price was very good: I paid EUR 110 for a family room with Breakfast (we are four: 2 adults and 2 children of 2 and 5 years).
Parking is 18 EUR per night.
