the euskera tram , which arciculates with just about everything in the city, stops about 80 meters from the hotel. it can be had from the airport, bus, train, or metro stations. hotel is within walking distance of the old town. if/when i'd ever return to bilbao, and the hotel is still in place, i'd seriously consider re-booking it.

Centrally located in the old town (Casco Viejo) - provides clean and quiet rooms, at a good price. Rooms and hallways are decorated sparsely. Staff is friendly.

Fabulous location; on-site parking; easy walking distance to first-class restaurants; nice walk along the river one direction to the Guggenheim and the other to the old town. Professional staff; excellently maintained rooms. I would stay there again, if I were to return to Bilbao.

As noted in other reviews = I was very careful with the name of this hotel with the cab driver ... emphasizing Lopez de Haro -- and I still was first taken to "Hotel Ercilla." It seems there are a number of hotels in the "Ercilla" family of hotels -- but only the main Hotel Ercilla uses the name "Ercilla." A great hotel -- I just wish they would NOT list themselves as "Hotel Ercilla Lopez de Haro" but rather JUST "Hotel Lopez de Haro."

Unpleasantly hot, no air conditioning, and the hotel was unable to manage the changing outside temperatures. Location excellent.

Lovely hotel right on the riverfront. Modern, quiet and clean. Close to most everything, you can walk to old town, Cathedral, etc. in one direction and the Guggenheim Museum in the other. Train station also within walking distance, or short taxi ride. Beautiful river walk across the street. Staff businesslike.

Convenient location for Guggenheim in a pretty commercial section. Also near Casco Viejo. The hair dryers were broken in both our rooms. Staff did not offer any discount though they seem to welcomed our feedback though looked not too surprised about it.

The hotel is located in a great area, close to good food and most attractions. The rooms was comfortable but could use a little updating. They charge for any printing which is unfortunate.

This hotel worked perfectly for us for just one night- we were in Bilbao for a music festival. The shuttle buses to the festival were right by the hotel and the hotel itself was very nice!
