Don Carlos Leisure Resort and SPA
"Service very disappointing"

We arrived for a weeks break from a very heavy work schedule which involves staying in many good hotels around the world. The hotel is expensive but we thought we deserved it! The first room was small, next to the house keeping cupboard and lift and very very noisy, requesting to change was met with grumpiness and general unhelpfulness - although after some time we were relocated. The facility is beautiful, paying to use the pool and the beach is unusual, although the staff there do smile! The F&B offering in the main hotel is very poor and very very expensive. Would we stay there again or recommend it....judging by the level of service from front of house and other staff...I don't think we would for the money. It's a 5 star facility unfortunately let down with grumpy and unhelpful staff” 05/08/2008
