  Wonderful hotel, with a couple of small suggestions: put mirrors in the bedrooms......and get rid of the cheapo-looking $20 masonite sink/vanities in the bathroom. No one wants to apply their makeup in the bathroom while another person is showering. Also, put some 'bumpers' on the doors of the supply rooms so they don't close with a BANG every time the chambermaids go in and out. (Some people actually try to grab a nap at 2 PM...especially those who flew all night to get to Barcelona from North America!) VERY friendly front desk staff.

  The location is not even remotely close to restaurants or places for a stroll. Without a car, you would either have to take the free shuttle back to the airport or use a local bus. The food we ate at the hotel was pricey but surprisingly tasty. Room was quiet and staff were courteous and businesslike. For the price paid, we would stay there again.

  great location for seeing all the major local attractions. be warned: the air conditioning is a seasonal option, so at the end of april with weather about 20C it was not available for any rooms although advertised. if air conditioning doesn't matter to you book this hotel as it is great, but if you want air conditioning in hot humid weather make sure the hotel actually has it turned on for the summer months before you book.

  room was clean, comfortable and basic. No safe in room, but there was a private safe available at the front desk. free internet in lobby.....but it was weak. Good service and friendly. NICE area. Close to subway and restaurants.

  The Acacia Suites provided exactly what we were looking for. Our suite was spacious and very well maintained, the location of the hotel was convenient for access to shops, restaurants and attractions (yet in a quiet, safe neighbourhood) and the staff were uniformly helpful and polite. We were able to walk to La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter and the port, but there was also a metro stop on the same block as the hotel if we didn't want the exercise. We would highly recommend this hotel for the fine balance it provided between cost and quality.
