  This hotel is perfectly situated off Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. The staff is extremely friendly and were able to help with several recommendations. I would recommend that you bring towels and pillows with you, as theirs are somewhat undersized and not too comfy. Other than that, the room was adequately sized (for Europe), the bathroom was amazing, and the hotel was nice and quiet, despite their close proximity to the heart of the city. They even have a free ice machine on the ground floor. I have already recommended this hotel to a colleague and would definitely stay here agian. Make sure to have the churros at the cafe next door!

  We stayed on the top floor, and the room was nice, spacious, clean, and elegant. However, I kept waking up throughout the night because the elevator motors would make a loud noise when people used the elevator. It wasn't a huge problem during the week when less people were using the elevator at night, but it constantly woke me up over the weekend, when people were up all hours of the night. So be warned...

  Excellent location. Small and clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in February, 2013. Suggest to ask for higher floor to minimize outside noise.

  This was the hotel Hemmingway used to stay when he was in Barcelona. Clean, spacious, historic, in a great location. The only complain was the bed. I booked a king-size bed but in fact it was a two single bed next each other. I do recommend the hotel and I may stay there again.

  Loved this hotel for its convenience. Hotel accommodation was super as we were on business and pleasure trip and had luggage and needed space which we had in our room on the front of the hotel which overlooked the Ramblas. We liked the size of the room and its cleanliness and service each day as they supplied all bathroom needs and a hair dryer. There was no tea making machine which I would love to have had as I wake early and enjoy that facility. However, there was a Starbucks close by. The room did not have carpets but a modern laminated floor which I liked for cleanliness but not for noise from upstairs when people wore their shoes when they came in. The corridor proved noisy for us too some nights so I would recommend a pair of ear plugs if you are sensitive to any of this noise. The breakfast room was light and airy and the breakfast more than adequate and in fact I thought delicious. Fruit juices, tea and coffee were in abundance, along with cereals, fruits, meats and cheeses as well as all the different types of breads and pastries. There was no shortage of food. In fact there was also a cooked egg and bacon and sausage every day too. The eggs were scrambled beautifully, soft and delicious and full of flavor. Honestly, even with the noise I talk about I would recommend this hotel for value for money and services as well as convenience. Close to subway stations, buses, taxis, great markets and buildings to see. Loved the place!
