"Everything we needed: clean, cheap, convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 20, 2012
We arrived at night after walking over from the bus station next door (not a scary walk at all) and the front desk staff was friendly and quick. The room was super clean and had several outlets for our electronics. We were able to go downstairs and order a small pizza and soda for 7 euro, which made for enough of a snack. Breakfast was very nice (potato frittata was excellent) and although we arrived right at the end, the attendant was polite and made sure we got enough before putting everything away. The location is a ways away from the city center, the bus arrives just outside and is a straight shot. It seriously couldn't have been more convenient. We spent the whole day doing all the tourist stuff in the center (including ending the evening with a late night visit to the arabic baths which was AWESOME) and then came back to get our bags out of luggage hold (free and secure) to catch another late night bus. Besides all of this, the rate was cheap.
"perfect for the Alhambra"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 9, 2012
Right opposite the AlHambra and the absolute perfect location if you have any early morning reservation and have a car you need to park. It is the basis of my rating. If those conditions don't apply find another hotel in downtown Granada- there is a very convenient bus from outside the Cathedral to the Al Hambra.
"Surprised"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 17, 2012
I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities. Like other review, the customer service orientation by front desk staff is questionable. But the location is great and easily accessible by public transit. The single room was very small. I laughed at the thought that they offered a remote control or the TV with a deposti because you can reach it from your bed! The room was clean but too noisy if you try to have the window open because of street traffic. The AC was not very good which is why I tried to open the window. Still, good value for your money!
"great tapas!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 16, 2012
for the location and friendliness of the staff, tops! the only drawback is that it also is a tapas bar and will be noisy all night. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place, if you want to sample spanish tapas bar/ nightlife this is it!
"Great place to stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 5, 2012
I really like this hostal. It felt more like a hotel to me, but maybe that's because I got a private room. The bathroom was actually outside of the room, but I never saw another guest and I did have the only key for it. My privacy was never compromised. The location is perfect. At the bottom of the hill leading to the Alhambra and a quick walk to Bar Leon, which became my favorite place in Granada for tapas, and Hannigan & Sons, a fun Irish pub. The city center/commercial district is also a quick walk. The room did not have a TV, but if you need a TV in Granada you have issues. Most of all, the owner Sergio is a really great guy. If you speak a little Spanish or at least try to, you'll immediately consider him a friend. I read some other review saying negative things about him. It's not true. He's a sweet old man who can pass for your grandfather, and I wish him all the success and happiness in the world. I hope I get to stay here again soon.
"Great and Clean Hotel close to town"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 13, 2012
We enjoyed our stayed at this hotel as the rooms and lobby were very clean and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very large and is a stopover for bus tours as well as a convention centre. The layout of the circulate lobby could make it noisy if a group of people are talking loudly. There was a bus stop a block away from the hotel which takes you downtown in 15 minutes. There is also a supermarket next door and a great bakery/cafe a block away. If you do not mind staying a few minutes from the downtown area, this is a great hotel for families and I would stay here again if I returned and do recommend it to others.

I was surprised to find a daily charge for using the safe in the room. The toilet was running and I notified the front desk but it took them over 24 hours to have someone come up and fix it. The rooms are too cramped, but I guess for the price, that's what you get. It is definitely a 3 star hotel.

"Granada Centro is Good"Reviewed by Larry H of "Virginia near DC" on Apr 1, 2011
Not as central as you think but certainly close enough. Nice desayuno, handy to good restaurants and the city center. We walked to and from the Alhambra without a lot of huffing and puffing = we liked it
