"One night only..."

The hotel is located in a very good place, just 15 min ($6 - $8) from the airport. The personal was very friendly, smooth check in & out and taxi just in time the following morning. My only problem was with the "Welcome Cocktail" because it was a Sunday and Ecuador laws prohibit drinking (selling) alcohol on Sundays so our "free ($7.00) welcome drinks" were substitute with a $.99 sprite...
They were very accommodating with a late night arrival. Very close to airport. Even with our limited Spanish and their English they helped us to get to our room promptly and had transportation ready for us the next morning to get us to our conference. The room was just fine. Had everything necessary. Would have no problem recommending the Hotel to someone or staying there again.
"Better the second time around...."

The first time we stayed here, the room was small sand stuffy. And, there was no hot water. We stayed a second time, because I booked a room when we arrived in Quito, and a room for the night before we left. Te second time was so much better. It was a big room, and there was plenty of hot water. The breakfast was very good, and the breakfast room on the fourth room was wonderful. The staff was helpful and courteous as well.
"A very good bargan"

I am a person who can afford to pay higher rates at "fancier" hotels, but I intend to stay here again on my next trip to Quito. I lacked nothing that my money could buy at a "fancier" hotel except maybe a lounge chair and more expensive rom appointments. For a place to sleep and have a good breakfast, it is wonderful.
"Beautiful, quiet place"

The owners take a great deal of pride in their home, landscaping and guest houses. I was grateful for their helpfulness when I arrived with altitude sickness. My son and I enjoyed being away from the "big city" of Quito to explore that town at our leisure. Thanks to Gerrit's friend Lex, who drove us around the city for sites and an overall view, to get our bearings. His recommendations for restaurants were good. Regarding location, we did not have an exact address upon landing, which was my oversight, and the taxi driver was only aware of the street itself. The B&B is in a complex tucked away behind a guarded gate from the main street.
"Close to Mariscal, Great ownert"

I have stayed at Andino quite a few times over the past several years, Miquel the owner is incredible, very helpful, speaks excellent English and knows the city exceptionally well. He will do just about anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's 5 minutes walk to the Mariscal, but far enough away to be relaxing without the constant noise of the Mariscal. I'll be staying 4 nights over the next 2 weeks as I explore more of my new country.
