"Nice if this is what you like"

I don't recommend this hotel, because it is not my "thing", if it is your "thing", then I would recommend it. Read on:
This hotel was a great deal for the price. I stayed at another all inclusive that was almost double the price and this was a much better place. The pools were great. One had two water slides. The food was standard buffet food, nothing special. The room was very nice. They had fresh flowers out, large bed, and a large room. The layout of the property was also really nice. The rooms are in buildings spread out throughout the property all close to the main areas but much quieter than what you would get in a hotel. The beach is nice, but like all the beaches in the area.
What I didn't like was the location. When I travel, I like to experience the culture of the country. This property is in a "compound". Playa Dorado is a gated community of several all inclusive resorts along the sandy beach. I felt like I wasn't supposed to see the locals and how they lived. I could have gotten this experience in Florida and wouldn't have to pay so much for a plane ticket. It is a great place if you want to be safe and just eat and lay on the beach, but if you like to have adventures and experience culture, find a place outside of Playa Dorado.
