"Tidy room, helpful staff, great location!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 27, 2012
This newer hotel is only 3 short blocks from the main train station, 1 block to Tivoli, and 4 blocks to the pedestrian shopping street. It was an ideal location to take in the sites of Copenhagen. The hotel was spotlessly clean, non-smoking, and the staff were fun and helpful. The room was super tiny, but remember that this is Europe. The bathroom was literally 4 feet X 4 feet and included a toilet, shower, and sink. Very modern, clean, and organized with everything one needs, but if you are obese, this may not suit you. The room had bunk-beds (very comfortable with nice duvets), a flat screen tv, coffee maker, and desk area. Those smart Danes were able to get it all nicely arranged in a small package. I would definately stay in this hotel again.

The hostel has a very good location - it`s near central train station, and also the bus station to the airport is 5 minutes away - which make things a lot more easier. It`s also close to Tivoli and shopping street. The room was clean, the bathroom is spacious - warm water at any time, no problems whatsoever. If you`re thinking about booking this hostel - go ahead, you won`t regret it.
"Great Place For Cheap"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 28, 2012
DGI Byens was good bang for your buck. It's no frills but clean, nice and quiet. Close to the Central Train Station and close to the hip meat packing area I felt the location was easy and perfect for a visitor like myself. What made this hotel great in my opinion was the service, all the people there were very nice. They let me check in two hours early, store luggage for me and my friend (who wasn't staying there) for free, didn't charge me when I lost my room key, didn't hold any money on my credit card and gave me a free tshirt when I was leaving because the front desk guy thought I might like it as a souvenir. Overall very friendly and accommodating. It IS a budget hotel but a good one- i'd go back!
