"nice hotel, close to metro"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Bed was hanging and suspended in air, so was moving with change in position in bed and was disturbing sleep. Clean, spacious room, very friendly and helpful staff.
"close to all must-see sights"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Hotel am Opernring is in a very convenient location within walking distance from most of important "must see" objectives in Vienna. Rooms are big enough, clean and well maintained (bathroom sink could be a little bit bigger). Room is quite quiet. Even if the room was on the Ring side, we could not hear street noise. Breakfast is very good. People are friendly and willing to help. Overall a pleasant stay.

"Nice rooms, terrible dinners"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Rooms are in good conditions. It was quiet. Hotel is located in a boring block of banks and offices, but is at walking distance to Hofburg, subway, and parks. The staff at reception is very well trained, helpful and efficient. Our worst memory is about the hotel restaurant. One time we ordered dinner to the room - we received it more than an hour later and it was cold. On the other evening we were having dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was very slow, food was cold and undercooked. There are no other restaurants in the area, so if it is rainy or cold outside or you are too tired to walk 15 min to streets full of night life, you will probable not enjoy the end of your day. Breakfast is excellent but it's the same every morning.

"Best-kept secret of Museums Quartier!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
I have been staying at this hotel for many years now and I only have great things to say for the people, the service and the entire experience. The addition a personal Nespresso machine in each room over the last couple of years was just what I needed to grade it at the top of my favorite hotels worldwide!

Enjoyed it very much. Especially the comfy bed and large tub. I brought some maps with me from the Internet but, they were not too helpful. Coming from the airport, Take the CAT to the city station. Get on the number U3 subway and take it to the U2, go to Rathaus Station and you are just a hundred yards away.
