"nice overnight stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 25, 2012
We arrived at 7PM and left the next morning at 8AM. We were on our way to Vienna and had a stop over in Innsbruck. This hotel was priced well. The hotel is about a 8 minute tram ride from the main train station. The tram and buses stop right in front of the hotel. It is a great location and also within walking distance to everything in downtown. The hotel is very basic as the name. There is a cafe on the ground level with pastries and coffee for the morning. The room was clean and there was free wifi. We enjoyed our night there.
"Great for Innsbruck Ski Vacations"Reviewed by Alex S of "New York" on Feb 11, 2012
We stayed at Hotel Innsbruck for 1 week, skiing 5 of the days. For skiiers, the hotel is located across the street from the bus stop for the free shuttle buses to all of the local ski resorts, extremely convenient. (The buses pick up at 8:45 and return you around 5:30.) There are several markets, supermarkets, and convenience stores less than a 3 minute walk from the hotel as well. We also took the train several days to go to the resorts at the Arlberg. The taxi ride is short ($6 euro) and the train was $15 euro each way, 1 hour trip, drops you off at the base of the mountains. We got by without a car the entire week due to the convenient location of the hotel. Perhaps the best feature about the hotel is the spas. They are excellent, beautifully decorated, kept clean, and very relaxing. We used the spas every night we were at the hotel. Also, the staff was very knowledgable and accomodating, and the hotel was kept very clean. The only thing we didn't like in the hotel were the European feather pillows, and we felt the mattresses could have been a little more comfortable. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby the hotel as well, check trip advisor for recommendations.

A small hotel that is centrally located and excellent transportation. The staff is remarkably helpful. The breakfast will add pounds and set you up for the day. The rooms are small (think cruise ship small) but very clean with great views. If you have time, go to the top floor and visit the sauna.
"Less than last time."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 5, 2012
Second time at Grauer Baer was not as comforable as the first time. Room was small. Hard to move with around with suitcases and the shower door was broken.
"Nice Hotel near old town"Reviewed by Jon L of "Utah" on Dec 29, 2011
This was my first stay in Innsbruck, so I didn't know what to expect. Two of my buddies and I stayed three nights over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. First the Positives: The hotel staff was great, internet access was free but signals were not always strong, breakfast was wonderful, free parking was generally available. Location was about a 10 minute walk to old town. Then the negatives: I didn't like the sheets, but the other guys didn't complain. My previous hotels.com bookings always paid the hotel, however this hotel charged an initial deposit from the booking and then asked that I pay them at the end of the stay. Not a big deal since hotels.com hadn't charged my card, but I still haven't received the deposit back on my card. We'll see if it happens.
"Nice for a night"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 14, 2011
Room was clean, receptionist was nice. The bed was hard as brick though. The breakfast was really nice. It was ok for a stopover for a night.
"Austria Trend - Highly recommended"Reviewed by Michael C. of "Brazil" on Oct 31, 2011
I really recommend this hotel. It's a new, clean, comfortable and well located hotel. Just 5 minutes from Central Station (by bus), 5 minutes walking to the Golden Roof and city center and it is in front of the funicular station (to go to the top of the Alps). The view is amazing, the Alps. There is a bistro just beside the hotel, where you can have a good breakfast. If I went to Innsbruck again, I would book this Hotel again, for sure!
