"Surprisingly Clean, good stay!"Reviewed by Dawn C of "New York, NY" on Mar 3, 2012
I'm an avid world traveler, so surprised that this hotel was so clean, my room was efficient, clean, nice bathroom, great location, and great working free wifi in the lobby. Rooms are basic dorm style, I had a single room, it was more spacious than I expected, and many plug outlets, which was great! It also had the fastest elevator I've seen in Europe! I read the reviews before booking, and it was good, I'm glad I booked it. Facts, when going to the elevator there are 5 steps to get up to the elevator, not a big deal for most. The tub edge by the wall is flat so water will always collect and pour onto the floor, I suggest putting an extra towel down. The hotel should really buy some plastic edges to put on the corners to solve this issue, and the shower curtain may stick to your legs, I was okay. Beds are comfy enough for a few nights stay, you can control the heat in the room, great value hotel. No phone in the room, I didn't need it though. I skipped the breakfast, was minimal, I preferred to eat in the train station, they have everything! It's a 5min walk or less. (after this hotel I stayed at another A&O in Nuremberg, also very clean and best location!) I had no problems on my stay, but it does concern me that the luggage storage is not monitored better. Seems the desk should give luggage claim tickets out to help monitor belonging better. If I had a late evening flight I may have chosen a different hotel with a more secure bag storage so I could still tour around after checking out with out worrying, or lugging my bags around. I also used the train station lockers when I first arrived, 5euro for 24hrs, they seemed very secure and my tour guide said they are well monitored and haven't had problems. Safe travels!

"AN EXCELLENT STAY!"Reviewed by Ted A of "Seattle" on Oct 30, 2011
Upon checking in I was granted a request for a quiet location on the top floor. Due to the slope of the roof, the room layout was acutally more spacious... much appreciated. Most importantly I was able to get a good night's sleep before returning to the USA the next day. Hotel is closely located to the train station and the S-Bahn which goes directly to the airport. I will certainly stay here again.

"Ibis Muenchen City West"Reviewed by Dominic R of "New york city" on Oct 12, 2011
Used the hotel for Oktoberfest and it was perfect. The train station is right next to the hotel and it took about 10-15 mins to get to the fairgrounds. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very clean! Breakfeast was nice.

"Germania Hotel, Munich"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 20, 2011
This small hotel is very close to the hauptbahnhoff, and can be conveniently reached on foot with roller luggage. Although not elegant, it affords a reasonable small room at a very good price. The neighborhood is not the best, but hardly threatening. With good access to the station, Marionplatz, and the downtown amenities, it represents a good buy. The staff were helpfull at all times.
"Perfect for what we needed"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 14, 2011
This hotel was perfect for my travel buddy and me as all we needed were a bed, clean room and easy access to Marienplatz (main square area). It took about 5min to walk to Marienplatz. There was also a pretty decent free breakfast, nice front desk people and a tv in the room. Also, a big thank you to the employees who found my passport after I accidentally left it in the room when I checked out!!

This was right near a trolley stop and two Augustiner biergartens. Met others from the hotel. Lots of fun.
