A Düsseldorf city break takes visitors from the relaxed Rhine embankment to jovial brewery taverns,...

No thrills, simple hotel super close to the "old" quarter. If you're the pampering and big rooms type then this is not your hotel. If you're looking for a pleasant staff and short walk to the museums and restaurants then this is your hotel. I would have no qualms returning.

"Good for the price, but hard to sleep"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 28, 2012
Room 12 is right by the "Hotel" Sign - very bright in room all night long. The hotel should install blackout shades.

"Ambassodor hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 30, 2011
We arrived at 1 AM and the only room left was not what we expected; however, the staff moved us next day to excellent room. Close to train station and breakfast is best we have had in 3 star (maybe even 4 star). Neighborhood a bit scary at 1AM on Saturday nite, but you walk right by police station if you stay to left on sidewalk exiting station. Looked a lot better in daylight.
