"Easy walk to the urban rail and other transport"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 1, 2013
Hotel staff served my purpose, the included breakfast had a nice selection of choices. Bed was a little hard and bathroom small, but were clean and well stocked. Would suggest asking for a room on the west side of the building...as rooms on the east have a lot of road noise as well as pedestrian traffic walking back from the bar next door. One of the biggest drawbacks of the hotel was not enough evening food choices nearby and cost of taxi to downtown was 15-20 euros.

This is an amazing Hotel. Very well located if you are interested in spending time in old town. My only comment is that for this price, Internet should be included. Hotels of less stature already offer it for free, and it truly makes a difference these days to be able to stay connected to friends and family back home. Hotel was otherwise beautiful and of very high quality.

Cologne is a close in city and this hotel is right back of the station Always have had great service and staff is very capable Once had accident and they had me to a Doctor and checked up on me during the day until I could function again. You can't find those kind of people in most places Cafe is also a good deal and when weather is right a great spot to watch station traffic
"Excellent hotel in Cologne, Germany"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 27, 2012
Very nice hotel with large rooms. Good and comfortable beds, and windows can be opened. It's not located in the centre of town but it's within a walking distance to the Dom. Very friendly and effecient staff.

Great location-- close enough to city center but not swallowed up by the Dom/Hbf cluster. Service was great and friendly. Good, if small room service menu. A/C wasn't great for the month of August, but you should factor my American love of central-air into that thought. Great lap pool. Gym facilites aren't great if you're looking to do anything more than cardio machines.

Overall the Koln Hotel was nice. The only real problem is that it is near the train tracks so we could hear the trains going by all night long. The staff was friendly and the room were clean. We would stay again as long as we got a room on the opposite of the trains.
"Nice for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 20, 2011
Its not near anything, except perhaps a fussganger shopping street, but it was nice. If you need to be nearer the Cathedral, this is not the spot for you. But if you are willing to walk a mile or so to get to the cathedral, this could be a good choice. A very nice room for the money.

"Nice hotel, Needs Improvement"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 14, 2009
I was surprised that either that hotel doesn't provide bath products like soap or shampoo or we just didn't have it in our room. The bathroom as a room was pretty nice.
