We were there for the Christmas markets, and it was a great location in reference to them as well as shopping malls and the train station. There were many cafes nearby as well, though I wouldn't say much for cozy sit-down restaurants and the hotel bar was pricey. The room was clean and though we expect small rooms in Europe, this is the first we've come across to have quite literally a "water closet." Overall, I don't think noise would be an issue either except there was construction going on at the mall across from us and they got to work fairly early.

Due to a reservation error on my part, there was a surprise for the owner when we showed up with an additional person. As it was Oktoberfest and the rest of the city (this hotel included) we're full up she very kindly rearranged other residents so we could have a room that fit all of us. The rooms are all very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great. And the Universitad is such a convenient neighborhood, plus it's so quiet.
"close to many must see sights"

All 3 Ibis buildings are located at the start of Prager Strasse which is the pedestrian walkway with all the shops. From the main train station they can be reached easily by foot within 10 minutes. From there you can also get leasurely to all the sights. I highly recommend Ibis for location and price!!!
