"Location was great!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 27, 2012
The free Wi-Fi is not working in my room and they couldn't fix it. They couldn't find any technician at night, so better try it out while you checked in the room. Otherwise it's a nice hotel. Location was great! Close to old town square and train station.

"Nice location, nice room, but expensive breakfast"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 30, 2012
The hotel rooms look totally new and modern. It's a nice hotel to use for conferences or workshops if they are located near the old center of leipzig. The 'rain' shower heads and the bathrooms are very nice. They upgraded me (without giving me a notice) to a premium room because of overbooking, however, these do not have rooms don't have kitchenets, so they should have informed me about this change. The premium rooms are a little bigger, and as I wasn't planning on using the kitchen facilities, it did matter to me. The hotel misses a pool in the basement, which has sauna, fitness and wellness area. The breakfast in my offer was not included and was about 17EUR/day, which is around 3 times the price of a café (they are really near by). The "city-view" of my room was a partly a wall and the back-alley, so don't expect anything amazing, however, they have rooms facing the church, but I don't know how you get one of these.
"Pretty good place"Reviewed by MP W of "Vermont, USA" on Jan 5, 2012
The hotel is well served by public transportation (bus and tram), although at night options dwindle. You can walk to an Aldi grocery store and a few restaurants. It's also a short walk to the Lindenauer Markt area. The breakfast in the morning is one of the best. Overall, it's a great place if you don't mind being a little bit away from the city center.

"Good access and breakfast"Reviewed by Brian B of "Denver" on Oct 10, 2011
There is nothing around this hotel, with is the top two floors of an office building. However, the tram stop is around the corner and only two stops from where the action is and three stops from the main train stations, where you can hop a ride anywhere.
"Grand City Hotel Leipzig Messe-a bit far"Reviewed by J W of "NYC" on Sep 4, 2011
If you have a Eurail pass, you can take the train(5 minutes) for free to Leipzig Messe station and walk to hotel in 5-7 minutes. Or buy a tram ticket(15 minutes tram ride) and walk to the hotel in 3 minutes(remember to validate tickets in Germany or you may get fined if checked). Hotel's right next to an abandoned and broken building. Hotel room is in a separate building from the lobby. To enter either, you'd need a key. The room is spacious and clean. But it has the worst lighting of all the hotels in Scandinavia and Germany. Forget about reading in bed. Very cheap and came with breakfast.
"Clean and convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 23, 2011

"A&O Hotel in Leipzig--great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 18, 2011
Hotel is right across from the train station and a few minutes walk to the CBD. It is a combination hotel/hostel. I had a private room and it was very nice.
