Good hotel, though the wireless internet was not very good. Very good restaurant next door.

"Can't get closer to Dortmund Hbf"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2011
It's the most convenient location in town, especially if you need to take the U-bahn or regular trains. Workout room is a treadmill, the Sauna is great, staff speaks English well, if that's needed. It was for me. The only downside is that you can't put drinks from the bar on your room charges. I'll probably only stay here when in Dortmund.
"Watch out for extra fees"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 30, 2010
Upon checking in they asked if we wanted breakfast. It was an outrageous rate - 12 Euro per person. There are plenty of bakeries and other restaurants within 2 blocks of the hotel where you can spend a whole lot less. When we went to check out, they started running down a whole list of other potential additional fees - including drinks in room and parking. Fortunately, we hadn't parked our car overnight there, so we weren't charged, but we weren't told up front that there was an extra fee for it. Also, if you want internet in room, there is an extra fee. Everything else about the hotel was nice, and I would stay there again. It is right across the street from the main shopping area, and it is two block from a train station.
"Mark Hotel Commerz"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 2, 2010
The hotel staff is extremely pleasant. A typical German 3-star hotel a bit off the beaten track. Great little breakfast buffet. Rooms are very well maintained but tiny by American standards. If you need wireless Internet you are out of luck. That was not working - a problem for a business traveler like me.
