Good service, clean. Not the perfect location for tourists, but quite central nevertheless.
"Great hotel!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 26, 2013
We chose this hotel based on the proximity to the main train station. It was in fact directly across the street from the train station, but still only a short walk to the city center. The rooms were quite big for European standards. We couldn't hear the trains at all, but the walls were a little thin so we could hear noise from other rooms - nothing out of the ordinary at a hotel though. We read that there was an exotic shop nearby in other comments - we looked and never saw it. The area was very safe. Overall we were very satisfied with this hotel.
"Close to Train Station"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 20, 2013
Very close only a 5 minute walk from central train station. It's in busy area not very pretty but very close to what makes the St. Georg neighorhood so nice. It seemed safe and you have to ring a door bell and be buzzed in and then take the elevator or walk one floor to the reception area. They are there 24 hours so no worries you won't be locked out. My room was on the 5th floor but the elevator only goes to 4 and you walk up a flight of stairs so if you have large heavy luggage or problems walking stairs to be sure to let them know you need a room on 4 or below. The room was clean and the show was great lots of water pressure but the walls are a little thin so if you're a light sleeper be sure to bring ear plugs. Also great variety of foods like Indian and Afghan foods right near by and about 5 minutes away in the charming area of St. Georg are lots of German pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.
"Convenient hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 13, 2013
This hotel is located approximately a 5 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, which is nice, and not very complicated to find. The breakfast is a bit pricey, I didn't go with it, but there are bakeries around if you wanted to go with something a bit smaller. I have seen a couple of other reviews complaining about 'adult stores' in proximity to the hotel. This is Hamburg, it is what it is known for. All the ones I walked past to the Hbf, I didn't feel unsafe, I didn't see anything that children shouldn't see, and it definitely isn't the Reeperbahn.

Sketchy neighborhood, but as an international traveler you must always remain aware of your surroundings. Very convenient to the Central Station for access to anywhere in the city and surrounding area!
