"Lordos Beach Hotel in Larnaca, Cyprus"

We stayed 8 days at Lordos Beach Hotel in Larnaca, Cyprus in a quiet, well air-conditioned, triple room. The hotel lobby and eating areas, were spacious, very clean, and inviting. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and greeted us with up-most courtesy and remained very helpful during our stay. The hallways leading to the guest rooms needed new carpets or better yet wooden floors. The rooms were on the small side, with space enough to spread out one piece of luggage (we had three). However, the room appeared to have been recently given a comfortable modern updated look with the clean feel of wooden floors, adequate closet space, free safe deposit box, and nice balcony overlooking the sea or city. The bathroom was vented, had adequate room, and, except for a deteriorating and leaking hand-held shower fixture and faucet, had modern updates. This was a minor inconvenience. The room was well maintained by their pleasant and efficient maid service. The hotel has a very nice, large, and comfortable common lounge/bar area and evening entertainment. The resort grounds are very well maintained and clean, including the multiple swimming pools, the exercise room, and the beach area. There was a moderately strong signal broadband internet access in the room for those with laptops and mobile devices. Unfortunately, unlike so many hotels these days, they do charge for this service, I recommend taking their weekly rate for internet access. Continental breakfast buffet is very nice with a large variety of western and local dishes, vegetables, breads, cheeses, meats, etc. The hotel has a large indoor breakfast dining area. However, the large outside shaded dining area, with cool mild sea breeze, makes breakfast particularly pleasant. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, however Lordos Beach also has a more formal restaurant for evening dining and offers both lunch and various dinner buffets. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Larnaca. We found it more convenient, though mor
