Stayed here at the beginning and end of the trip, and although this hotel is a little dated, and the gardens are pretty but not great, I found this to be the best value of any of the moderate priced hotels we used in Costa Rica. The rooms are large, balconies are nice, and the service was good. There is a hotel shuttle to the airport ($15) or if you have a car, you can get out of the congestion of the airport or San Jose area about 20 minutes away.
