A great visit - the management worked with us to ensure our comfort and changes in reservation. A great spot! Fun night markets, lovely beach, great food.

"No Bathtub in our room, otherwise great hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 4, 2013
We chose this hotel over others for the bathtub (I have a small daughter). But there wasn't one in our room. Otherwise, the hotel and room were nice. They came into our room multiple times a day to clean. The variety of the food available at the breakfast buffet made up for the lack in quality of the food. Also, people smoke everywhere - including breakfast. The smoke really bothered me since you have to go to the smoker filled lobby to use the wifi (wired internet does exist in rooms).

"short trip to Sanya"Reviewed by Edmund T of "Cupertino, CA" on Nov 13, 2011
Booked Hilton over the net via Hotel.com. The hotel was very pleasant and well kept. Food in the Big Kitchen is average but the IZE is very good. Excellent service at the latter.
"Quiet & Relaxing"Reviewed by Ali S of "Monterey, CA" on Nov 2, 2011
Hotel is perfect for a quiet escape, but not convenient to restaurants, activities etc. Hotel food was very expensive $150 buffet diner for 2 without alcohol, $8 water-soda-juice by the pool. Bathroom set up is unique - a roll up shade separates bathroom from the other areas. Shower and toilet areas have frosted glass doors for minimal privacy. Turning a light on in the bathroom floods the bed with light as well...used our cell phones as flashlights to not disturb each other.
"Lovely hotel - very much recommended"Reviewed by T Collins of "Waterford, Ireland" on Jun 22, 2009
Overall we were very impressed with the Gloria Resort in Sanya. Not quite up to the 5 Star standard it claims, but a good 4 Star hotel by Western standards. The location is fantatsic - literally a two minute walk to the beautiful Yalong Bay. We had a Deluxe Ocean View room which had a superb view overlooking the sea and surrounding countryside & mountains. Hotel facilities were very good, rooms were spacious & well equipped, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The quality of food in the hotel was only reasonable, and the Japanese restaurant on the second floor was quite pricey. We availed of the barbecue buffet option a couple of nights (down by poolside), which came to approximately €18 per person - the food was only so so and the dish options limited. On balance though a very enjoyable stay, and the hotel offered good value for money relative to some of the International Resorts operating in Yalong Bay (Hilton, Sheraton etc.), most of which were almost double the price of Gloria.
