My only complaint is the same complaint I have about all Chinese hotels. The beds are Chinese style which means they are hard and it's like sleeping on concrete. When traveling in China, leave room in your bag for a small air mattress.

Our hotel stay was very pleasant. The hotel room was absolutely great, with fluffy pillows, modern looking-designs and functional gadgets. We thought that the restaurant needed some improvements in terms of quality of food both dinner and breakfast. The hotel lobby is very bright and attractive with Apple computers at your disposal. WiFi is conveniently provided in the hotel. About the location, you need to think carefully if you want to stay in this hotel if your primary purpose for going to Suzhou is to visit the gardens and the museum. Indeed, the hotel is located far away from these landmarks. From the hotel, you can either take a taxi but you can expect to pay 40 yuan or you can take the metro, conveniently located across the hotel. However, the eight stations to Lindun Lu will take you at least 15mins. Then, you are still at three kilometers from the site. From Lindun Lu to the site, you can look for a taxi, but may not always be easy to find one, or, take a bus or even take an expensive Rick shaw. A short ten minutes from the hotel, at Time Square Metro Station, is a newly built and modern mall which can be an alternative to the hotel restaurant. Overall, Modena delivers. Keep it up!!!

This hotel was perfect! Designed as a boat its location by the Lake is beautiful at night yet convenient for business in the area. I will be staying here a lot in the future.

Hotel was great--staff very friendly, high quality service. Big downside is location is far away from most of what we wanted to see. Distance listed from hotel from major sites (Humble Adminstrators Garden, Pagoda, Night Market seemed much longer than in info provided with reservation

Easy and simple ride on bus NO. 38 ride to/from train station. WiFi access but no computers for non-laptop carriers. HUGE room with beautiful views. Unfortunately rather noisy from nearby traffic. Breakfast buffet plentiful with both East/West food. Friendly hotel staff.

I have stayed here about 10 or 12 times. The hotel is quite clean and comfortable. The room is great to come back to in the evening after a long day. Many western tv channels.
