"Recommended for the Price; Beware the Location"Reviewed by Fran C of "Colorado" on Mar 10, 2012
I like this chain of hotels. These are basic clean, comfortable, cheap hotels. The staff was competent and helpful. The problem for me was the location of the hotel. It is about 3 times farther from Nanjing East station that shown on the map. Not realizing this, I walked in the rain with two large suitcases. And walked and walked. And reached a flyover where I had to drag said suitcases up 3 long flights of stairs, over a huge street you can't cross on the ground, and down 3 more flights of stairs to get to the hotel. When I left, I tried to take a taxi to the station, but the driver refused. With the street blocked off, it was just not worth his trouble. Only by paying him 2.5 times the going rate to get any taxi to take me where I wanted to go. Good hotel. Bad information on their site. I don't think I'll go back.

"Arglye airport Hotel."Reviewed by Greg B of "Everett WA" on Oct 18, 2010
Excellant service quick checkin even with late arrival. Staff very pleasant with good english skills during daytime. They might add an extra english speaking staff lat at night. But not a major problem. They were able to give me help on several day trips easily and correctly. Excellant stay both coming and going .

Stayed 3nights in Motel168. The hotel is a little out from the main centre of Shanghai, but is on the no.1 metro line, and is only 5mins walk from the nearest station. The room was clean and comfortable, accept that there was a window into the bathroom and you could easily see someone using the shower! The staff had very little english also. I would recommend this place as a budget / backpacker option when all you need is clenliness and wifi.
"Good for the budget traveller"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 30, 2010
This motel was all round good. Hotel staff were courteous, but spoke limited English. The room was small but clean, everything the budget single traveller or couple could ask. It is close to the subway line (Madang Rd Station), and visible from the station. A bit noisy due to domestic travellers visiting Expo.
"Get the directions right!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 14, 2010
