  The overall service was good. The staff did their best to be as accomodating as possible. Hotel had many of the little things that make a stay good. Door man, elevator man. Always someone at the desk. Room was very clean, and the supervisor came by more than once to check up on the cleaning staff. Some of the services were under construction, such as the billiard room. The fitness room had very limited equipement and was in what was being used as a multipupose room so it was not always available to use. My biggest concern was that I could not get the room cool enough for me. They offered to change rooms but I was pretty well dug in and figured the rooms were all on the same system. So I just opened up the window all day. It may be a small thing but thought it odd that even though there were two of us, the room only comes with one complimentary breakfast.

  Very seldom do I give a hotel a "flat out" 5 star rating but this one I did. The split level rooms were very big and the hotel staff were courteous and friendly. Language was not really a problem but you do have to listen carefully.Taxis are inexpensive and available but I would recommend that you have your destination written in Chinese for the cab driver. The hotel can be difficult to find so be sure you have the hotel phone number with you when you arrive whether by fast train or air so the driver can call the hotel direct

  The employees were very friendly and accomodating. One front desk person spoke some English and was especially helpful. I have stayed in several hotels in China, but this staff was the best I have encountered. One complaint: the TV did not have good reception.
