"Clean and comfortable"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 2, 2013
I often stay at the Kempinski Shenzhen mainly for the convenience of access to the Hong Kong airport. The hotel has a shuttle pickup each morning for the HK airport. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are relatively clean although the carpets are several years old and getting a bit stained. The rooms could stand to be freshened up with new carpet.

Me and wife stayed in this hotel overnight and we really liked it. The service is good and staff is very helpful.

"Great value!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 25, 2013
I stayed in Shenzhen Jan 2013 for three nights. This hotel was quite nice, comfortable, and in a great location not far from Coco Park. Very clean and modern. Not much english spoken, but not an issue for me. I would definitely stay here again.

"Excellent value very near SEG market"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 20, 2012
The Shanghai is a clean, comfortable no-frills hotel in an excellent location. A two minute walk from the Huaqiang Bei electronics market (huge) and metro station make it a 5-star location. There was some traffic noise from busy Shennan Road during rush hour but at night it was not that bad. A decent western breakfast buffet was available as well. Across the street to the west is a huge park with an excellent running trail. A colleague and I stayed here for 10 days and found everything we needed close by. There's a small business center off the lobby with a PC, scanner and printer which came in handy. Would have liked to have seen a lobby bar but the staff served drinks in the "library" sitting area that consisted of a few 2-top and 4-top tables and one large "conference" table. Overall a pleasant experience and excellent value. Normally a Marco Polo or Crown guest but I would return to the Shanghai for the location and value.

Just so so, but for a quick business trip, just fine. For luxury stay across the street at the Shangri la. Good Breakfast, comfortable bed. Needs a little updating in the rooms
