"Pretty good value for the money"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 29, 2013
Very reasonably priced hotel. Clean & decently well maintained. Some parts of it were a little worn down, etc. but all-in-all a pretty good place to stay. Front desk was not super knowledgable but we survived!
"Wonderful Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 28, 2012
We had a fantastic stay at the Shangri La. The bed was extremely comfortable, the lounges were warm and friendly, but the highly is the gym and spa.

Western breakfast much to be desired, not nearly as good as other hotels in China; choices were limited. Was difficult understanding hotel staff, their English was very poor.

"Close to South Gate to City Wall"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 20, 2012
The Hotel was just outside the South Gate of the city wall. Shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel was definitely a 4 star (US Standards). The rooms were comfortable - beds were great, and the service was excellent. A great choice and wonderful value for the price!
"Clean oasis in dusty city"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 13, 2012
The hotel was a welcome relief of comfort. Transportation to the hotel from the airport should be planned ahead.
"service excellent"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 8, 2012
On our recent trip, we stayed in five high-end hotels in China. This hotel had the best service, and the others were really good. However, the staff went out of their way to be helpful and provide advice. The neighborhood is not bad; it's just not on a par with say the high-end hotel enclave in Beijing. It's a taxi trip to the sights through typical Chinese traffic, but not seriously out of the way.
