Good breakfast. Not good if you have problems with stairs.

enjoyed our stay here, nice restaurant and great neighborhood for walking. Close to funicular and the room rate was reasonable

"Great view of the bay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 6, 2013
The front desk was helpful in arranging a tour with a wonderful guide.
"in a revered historical district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 1, 2013
The staff was excellent in every possible way!! The bathroom was lacking only insofar as roominess, but understandable with the old construction. The views were phenominal! The food in the restaurant was top notch, but the prices were beyond what we could afford.
"Wow!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 14, 2012
I have to admit we were a little leery when we first pulled up outside of Hotel Da Vinci. Being unfamiliar with Valparaiso, we did not know about the grafitti culture and how businessesare often closed in the late afternoon, making the street look abandoned. But the minute we walked inside we were charmed! The room was lovely and clean. The hotel proprietor made us feel at home and the breakfast was delightful! I highly recommend Hotel Da Vinci!
"Three Days in Valpo"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 18, 2012
Valpo, Chile is my kind of town. No it's not perfect but the people are down to earth and architecture urban but playful. What is graffiti to some is art to others. The staff at Casa Latina worked really hard to make my stay comfortable and even though I didn't speak much Spanish and most of them spoke little English I felt welcome and cared for. The room was large with high ceilings and a large bed. A space heater was available for the chilly nights of winter in Chile. The hills of Valpo gave me a workout but I loved the location of the hotel and taxis were cheap if you needed a break from climbing. Breakfast was consistently good and the Casa Latina staff remembered your preferences from one day to the next. I want to expecially compliment the Two Monicas and Nancy with Tours for Tips. Just a fun time and a great welcome to Chile!
"Great service. Church bells an issue."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jul 14, 2012
The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating to one's needs and schedule. Hotel is very safe. Only issue: there is a Lutheran church across the street that rings bells every half hour. The problem is: this continues throughout the night. Ask for a room facing away from the church.
