Just a nice place to stay. Very nice people rooms are fun and very clean. Maybe the fact that you cannot control the heat in the room was a drag. As long as you keep the balcony door open to cool down the room you will be ok. Great spa and outside jacuzzi. Good ski room with boot heater in each closet nice touch in the morning before you go to ski. Just don't go ski in the Italienne side. We got stock there 1 night in a unconfortable hotel. They close the gondola for no reason ( nothing to do with the hotel) and if you dont have 700 euros to go back via taxi to zermatt you are done!!!! great hotel. We will be back.

This hotel is incredible! Beautiful, cozy rooms with a wonderful view. The owners Sonja and Christian make their guests feel so welcome! Breakfast is amazing as is the spa. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed at.

Nothing could have been better at Hotel Christiania from the extremely courteous and helpful staff to the beautiful surroundings, fabulous spa and pool, excellent food, extremely comfortable bed. We loved it!

This hotel is unbelievably wonderful. It is everything you imagine Switzerland to be. It is the front of every Christmas card! The service is impeccable. The views AMAZING!! I will return to this hotel again and again. Nothing I could say would do it justice. It is a 6 STAR HOTEL listed as a 4 and a half. Schoenegg..... you made our vacation the perfect ending to being in Europe. All hotels should measure to your standard.

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment I got there til the moment I departed, there were smiling faces, and helping hands! I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff was and how they had answers for every need. It was so great, that I extended my stay an additional night. And while they were booked solid, they still found a way to let me extend my stay w/o having to change rooms! My room was awesome and I could see the Matterhorn easily as I sat at my desk and wrote emails, etc. I definitely recommend this place!

Everything was very nice about the hotel. It is near a very dense part of town, however. It wasn't noisy for us, but we can see how it could be, depending on whether the bars and disco are crowded. They have a great pizza restaurant at which we ate a few times. THe hotel is very updated and very clean and comfortable.

The room was clean, modern, and had everything we needed to prepare our own meals. (It even came with a fondue set!) We had a direct view of the Matterhorn off our balcony. The spa and sauna facilities were a real treat. My only complaint is that the otherwise excellent documentation provided with the room contained some out-of-date information about the wireless internet connection, and we were not able to get ahold of the property manager for a full day. This may seem very minor, but we were relying entirely on internet access to handle logistics for our hiking adventures. Bottom line: An excellent, beautiful apartment at a very reasonable price.

We had a wonderful stay, so much that we extended our stay to another night. Upon check in, the staff personally showed us around the hotel and to our room. He showed us where to acess the amenities of the hotel and answered all questions. The staff also provided us with tips and information on what to see and do in Zermatt and the surrounding areas. All of the staff members spoke multiple languages and everyone was very kind and friendly. We brought our 2-year- old and dog and both were warmly welcomed at the hotel. Great hotel and value!
