"Good stay!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 24, 2012
This hotel is in a very good location and close to everything! The rooms were very spacious and beds were very comfortable. Bathroooms were very clean. Staff was very helpful when we had questions and they were very nice. I would stay here again!
"Needs Updating"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 19, 2012
This hotel is a great location, close to everything, especially the restaurants on Elgin Street. Unfortunately, it is in need of some major upgrades to it's decor and structure. The furniture is tired and uncomfortable. The balconies are in disrepair. The free WiFi and size of the one-bedroom suite helped make up for its weaknesses. The cafe is closed on weekends, but there is a good Italian restaurant across the street that serves a great breakfast.

"Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Downtown Ottawa"Reviewed by Sara D of "Syracuse, NY" on Feb 14, 2012
Perfect for our Winterlude Festival weekend. A block and a bit from the canal for skating; a block and a bit the other way for lots of dining options. Residential area to the south, city hall and downtown to the north. Service wonderful. Staff wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable. Rooms, roomy, big and comfy.

"Great option for the cost"Reviewed by Saroj B of "NJ" on Aug 22, 2011
If you are on a tight travel budget, this is probably the best option you have. You get the basic needs for your travel- quiet location, quiet neighboring rooms, free continental breakfast, spacious air conditioned room, and close to downtown Ottawa. I have seens many guests with small children. Bed is ok, (acceptable) - don't forget what you are paying. I am a bit concerned about pets (dogs and cats)- in case you are allergic to pets. I have seen guests with pets- not sure if there are separate rooms for guests with pets. Other than that, I am very happy with the accommodation.
