  We enjoyed our stay at the Lord Elgin. The beds were comfortable and our room was very clean. However, the clerk that checked us in was not very friendly. I tried to ask for dinning options and was handed a map and told that I could fine restaurants down further on Elgin Street. That was all she would tell me, no true suggestions as to which one to go to or even the types available. The next morning the clerks were very helpful and friendly. Other than that it was great, and we found it close to the NAC and Parliment Hill which was what we wanted. Shopping is also close by.

  Our stay at your hotel was great. Right from the reception to room service and more. we particularly enjoyed the suite we were in as the children could do what they liked as the area was not crowded. our next trip we will plan to stay at your hotel.

  We were very happy with our hotel room--we requested a room with a view and got one which provided TWO great views, that of the Parliament Hill Tower and a view to the west over the Ottawa River. The room was large, the bed comfortable, the room service quick and the food good. Any questions were answered pleasantly and detailed maps and instructions were provided for locations of places in the city. The room was quiet at night although we could see fireworks from across the river and hear an outdoor concert when the door was open. Altogether a very nice spot! (The only disappointment was that the hotel restaurant was closed for the summer. We had eaten there previously and had enjoyed the food.)
