"Great street on George"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 24, 2013
We had a good stay at the Breakfree. It's a great location on George and close to Darling Harbor and the central train station. The only thing that did not meet my expectations was the size of the bed and the bathroom. I got a good rate and was able to get transportation to the airport, but no transportation from the airport to the hotel.
"Amazing service"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 11, 2013
The front desk staff were very accomodating. I was able to store my luggage with no problems and get a late check-out. The woman who cleaned my room was very sweet and even brought me an item I left in the room as I was checking out. I was very impressed with the service at this hotel.

I enjoyed the location and the room a lot. I would of course say that the noise level in the railway cars was a bit much at times but I suppose that is to be expected on the weekends... maybe better insulation could help though?
"Nice neighborhood"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 3, 2012
The hotel is nice. It was a tad loud but thats what you get for being in the area. The rooms were creeky as if they were built on top of an old foundation.
"Sydney bargain"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 8, 2012
Good location, in Chinatown near Darling Harbor. Nears trams, trains and buses. Clean hotel. Reasonable fee for internet.
"Very convenient!"Reviewed by Wilma B. of "Fairfax, Virginia, USA" on Dec 28, 2011
The hotel is ideally located for first-timers who want to be close to everything. The room is immaculate! This we truly appreciated as I am particular about the cleanliness and smell of the restroom. I was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was recently remodeled. Yes, it is small but that goes with the price. It is an old building. Some refurbishing would useful to enliven the place. Overall, great for the money!
"Nice surprise!"Reviewed by Bruce of "Florida, USA" on Jun 26, 2011
I had never been at a backpackers before, but if this is a sample of what I may expect, I will use them in the future. I had a single room; I may opt for roommates in the future to get a better feel for the experience. For the money it was definitely worth it. I stayed 4 additional days at what it had cost me one night previously. The kitchen was a little touch and go, I recommend a second look at cookware and cutlery.
