"The heated pool is awesome!"

The hotel is full of folks there for a fun relaxing time. The pool is so close to the water front you hear the waves crashing in. The sun rise is simple beautiful. The hotel staff is very personable and goes out of their way to assist with local sights, restaurants, and activities.
"cabana-like ; calm and peaceful"

We arrived there for the whole Bike Week, and were greeted by the lovely innkeeper Meryl (hope sp is correct). Our 2nd story balcony sat amidst huge banana trees, making it feel like we were somewhere exotic. This is a VERY basic inn, modest and clean, and has a cute pool and is right on the beach, but it feels like a private beach. I don't think this is a place to bring kids, there is not much for them to do. Also not a partying-type place. Amenities are basic and useful. It was central to all events in Daytona, as well as local diners, convenience stores, etc.. If you like simple, cute, functional, it's perfect. Really cute, I would go back.
"A Great Lo-Budget Motel"
Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 5, 2014
Shore Winds is a great little motel for anyone traveling on a tight budget.
The room was quite clean, even though it was far from new, and featured a full-sized fridge and stove/oven—perfect for a family on a budget taking the kids to Florida. It would be equally good for some Spring Breakers who didn't want to eat in a restaurant every night, to save some cash for fun.
The room also came with a window AC unit and cable TV, plus a coffee-maker and microwave. I travel for work and absolutely need a good Internet connection, and the Wifi here was first-rate.
The ocean is literally right across the street; a minute's walk will have you on the sand or in the surf.
Make no mistake—this is not a luxury hotel. The building is old, and the rooms are small. Furnishings were about as plain as possible. This is a Cheap motel, a place to stay, not a place to be pampered. Sleep, eat, shower, relax after a hard day (or night,) but don't expect room service.
I would gladly come back again, because it offers me what I need—a very reasonably priced place to eat, sleep, shower and head out for another day of work.
