"Not a US 4 start hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 28, 2013
The hotel is currently in the midst of a major renovation and upgrade. I think that it was probably nice in the past but the decor was dated and would love to see what they do with it.The service was great and with an updated look this place could be truly nice. Breakfast was good each morning.

"Convenient location, great staff"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Dec 16, 2012
Had a short stay and it was almost perfect. Close to the entrance to the falls (300meters) and everything I needed was within the resort (food etc). I arrived late due to airline complications and they were more than happy to let me do a late checkout upon departing without any additional charge. Special thanks to Elizabeth who manages all the tour and excursion info and arrangements! She was amazing coordinating things for me in a condensed schedule including a taxi to the Argentinian airport from the resort. Note: heavy rains and lightning one nite and power went out. But they had it up and running again in 30min. Great staff

Great hotel for the price! We were upgraded to a suite and didn't even ask, big plus. Only down side was the jet tub didn't work properly otherwise it was perfect for two to fit. Italian night is off the hook!
"Location, location, location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Aug 28, 2012
While the rooms are not top notch, the location can't be beat. The rooms are a reasonable rate and if you don't mind staying in a less-than-fancy room, you should stay here. They have a tourism office in the lobby of the hotel that is great! We booked all of our tours through them. It is within walking distance to the bird park and the welcome center of the Brazil side of the falls. We also walked to the airport, but next time I'd just take the shuttle. One area of concern was the security of the room. We were originally put in a first floor room. However, as we turned in for the night, we realized that the window had no lock and could easily be opened from the outside. I would not be comfortable with that in any place, so it was certainly a concern in Brazil. We had to request to be moved upstairs to another room, which they did without question. The service was great and they were very friendly. I would recommend this to a friend as long as the room was not on the first floor.

"Clean empty hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 4, 2012
Located with walking distance of the Bird Park and the National Park, this hotel was extremely clean, although for some reason they never cleaned our room in the 3 nights that we were there. I had to go ask them for clean towels, soap etc... There were very few people staying at the hotel, although the staff kept themselves very busy cleaning the lobby, dining areas, etc... The pool was not heated and so we didn't even consider using it. If there had been at least some room service, I would actually give this place a 5 star rating. BTW, the room and bathroom were huge. Each room has a private balcony. I would stay there again.
"No frills but good"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 4, 2012
Located very close to the terminal central bus station (2 blocks) and around the corner from the main shopping district. Excellent churrascaria located 2 blocks to the west (Churrascaria do Gaúcho) for R$20 per person that includes an icre cream buffet. Hotel is extremely basic, and yes, there is NOT an elevator as others have mentioned. They also do not give you any shampoo. Aside from that, the AC unit is very strong and will cool the room in a mere minute or two. The TV quality sucks. The bed was ok and lots of blankets were provided.
